The Conference: This major one-day conference and webcast – for directors and all those involved
with compensation decisions – will be unlike any other. The top compensation consultants, the top critics
and key regulators, will be sharing their own inside knowledge – and practical what-to-do-now guidance –
that compensation committee members (and their advisors, including those responsible for the proxy
statement disclosures) need NOW.
Why do you need this practical guidance now? The answer is simple: PERSONAL LIABILITY. With
directors facing the prospect of potential personal liability for their compensation decisions (as borne out
by recent court decisions) — And, with the SEC now targeting the lawyers and others responsible for inadequate, misleading proxy disclosures —attendance at this conference truly is a “must.”
In recognition of the widespread need and interest in this one-of-a-kind Conference and the demands on
directors’ time – we are making this important event as accessible as possible. You can “attend” by video webcast or audio webcast (and have ongoing access to the entire audio and video which will be archived
on CompensationStandards.com after the conference).
Bonus – The Website That Everybody is Talking About: And don’t forget - regardless of whether you attend in San Francisco or by live webcast - you are entitled to immediate access to the wealth of practice pointers our distinguished 90-member Task Force has posted (and all the other valuable resources, including the Q&A Forum, where distinguished members of our Task Force are answering questions and providing guidance) on CompensationStandards.com – at no extra charge -
as soon as you register. So attendees are essentially getting two-for-one!

Where: The San Francisco Marriott – and via video/audio webcast to desktops, boardrooms and conference rooms around the nation. Due to heavy demand for this conference (and the two NASPP Pre-Conference sessions), we have just learned that the San Francisco Marriott may be sold out for the night of October 19th. To accommodate attendees, we have secured rooms for the 19th at several nearby hotels at favorable rates.
Unfortunately, the Marriott Reservations center sometimes incorrectly advises people that the San Francisco Marriott is fully booked for the other days of that week during which the NASPP Annual Conference is taking place. In fact, there still are rooms available at the Marriott from October 20 and thereafter. (Don’t forget to mention to the hotel the NASPP Annual Conference to get our special rate for the remaining blocked rooms.)
If you have trouble securing reservations, please contact the San Francisco Downtown Marriott directly at 415.896.1600 - or please contact us at
naspp@naspp.com or 925.685.9271 (8 am – 4 pm pacific time).
In addition to attending in person, many companies and law firms are having people "attend" the conference via audio/video webcast. And remember - regardless of whether you attend in San
Francisco or by live webcast - you are entitled to immediate access to the wealth of practice pointers our distinguished Task Force has posted on CompensationStandards.com as soon as you register.
