Jesse Brill is recognized as one of the country's leading authorities on responsible executive pay practices, as well as for the laws regarding insiders' transactions and the federal securities laws. Mr. Brill is the Publisher-Editor of the nationally acclaimed newsletters The Corporate Counsel and The Corporate Executive, which he has been publishing for over 40 years. Mr. Brill is also Securities Counsel for Morgan Stanley and Chair of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals. He received his law degree from Yale Law School.

Broc is the immediate past Chair of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals and serves as a member of the Society's National Board of Directors. He also is a Past Chair of the Association of Corporate Counsel's Corporate & Securities Law Committee and is on the Advisory Council for the SEC Historical Society. Until recently, he taught a class in corporate governance for the George Mason University Executive MBA program.

Before his time at TheCorporateCounsel.net, Mr. Romanek was founder and editor of RealCorporateLawyer.com. In addition, he has served as assistant general counsel at a Fortune 50 company, was in the Office of Chief Counsel of the SEC's Division of Corporation Finance, acted as Counselor to former SEC Commissioner Unger and was in private practice.

He frequently writes and speaks about corporate and securities law and has been blogging for over eight years on TheCorporateCounsel.net (and daily writes for four other of our blogs). He has a BBA from the University of Michigan and a JD from the University of Maryland.

Before his time as Editor of CompensationStandards.com and TheCorporateCounsel.net, Dave served as Chief Counsel in the SEC's Division of Corporation Finance. Dave also worked in the Division of Corporation Finance as a staff attorney and special counsel, and was in private practice at WilmerHale, where he advised public and private companies in SEC matters, securities transactions and corporate governance. Dave frequently writes and speaks about corporate and securities law and taught corporate governance at Georgetown University.
